Getting away... man I wish I could do that again. My trip to Indonesia was simply put: awesome. And though I will eventually discuss the awesomeness that is Indonesia, I would like to discuss one of its downside: the flight getting there. Again, I must illiterate that I do not like to speak ill of other people or businesses so rather than telling you what flight you should not take, I will tell you this: if you're going to Indonesia from the US, I highly recommend flying there with Singapore Airlines or Japan Airlines. That's it. This time around I took another airline and let me just say... I did not enjoy my flight.
You see, as a child, my parents did not buy me fancy clothes and we most certainly did not have many toys, we were taught that traveling was where one should splurge in life. My father, always believed two things, always have money in your savings (um... I'm still working on that) and travel the world. Literally. My dad took us to Japan, Singapore, Oahu, Maui, Sumatra, all over Java, Bali, Lombok, Komodo Island, London, Lisbon, and Amsterdam all before I was 20. I must admit, I definitely took this for granted. Growing up, I always wondered why my father bought generic cereals and never let my mom buy us brand named clothing. Well, wonder no more... now that I'm traveling on my own, I've realized, traveling is expensive! Man oh man did I take what my father gave me for granted.
